JEFFREY LUO – PIANO

Sixteen-year-old Jeffrey Luo is one of the North Shore’s premier young pianists and has received numerous awards over the years, including first place (twice) in the Canadian Music Competition. He has performed twice as piano soloist in concert with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and In April of this year played Rachmaninoff’s Variations on a Theme by Paganini with the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.
Jeffrey has been chosen to represent the BCRMTA North Shore Branch at the 2016 BC Provincial Piano Competition in September, playing selections from today’s concert.
The program includes compositions from Bach, Morel, Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy, and Liszt-Paganini.
Admission: Adults $10, Students $5 (includes meet-the-artist reception after the recital)
